58. William Gregory Trueblood was born 05 Oct 1815 in Camden Co. NC. He died 22 Feb 1879 in Vigo Co., Indiana and was buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Prairie Creek, Vigo Co., IN. William married Hetta Taylor Beauchamp on 10 Dec 1840 in Vigo Co., Indiana. William's parents were Benoni Trueblood and Bridgett Ann Gregory.

59. Hetta Taylor Beauchamp was born 20 Jun 1825 in Vigo Co. IN. After the 1879 death of William Trueblood, Hetta moved to Richland County IL, just west of Vigo County Indiana. She married Gilford Dudley Thomas on 01 Jul 1885. Gilford, a Texas resident, was also a native of Vigo County, IN, born 06 May 1821, and was visiting relatives in Vigo County, IN. Gilford was the brother of Laurinda Thomas, second wife of James Duncan Piety. Gilford took Hetta back to Texas, where they lived until Gilford died 19 Jan 1892. After Gilford’s death, Hetta moved back to Vigo County, IN to live near her children. While she was living with children, Hetta met Israel French. Israel French was a widower, who had been previously married to Sarah Elizabeth (Weeks) French, who had died 25 Apr 1915. Hetta married Israel French 19 Sep 1902 in Vigo County, IN. She married him at the age of 75, when he was 70. She lived in Vigo County through the 1920 Census. Hetta died 4:00 pm on Sunday, 01 Oct 1922, at the Pimento Indiana home of David Weeks, her son-in-law. Hetta’s death certificate states her age at death was “97 years 3 months 3 days” and that she was buried 03 Oct 1922 at “Prairie Creek,” presumably the West Lawn Cemetery with her first husband William Trueblood. Her causes of death were listed as “Uraemia-2 months” and “Chronic Interstitial Nephritis-3 years.” Hetta’s birthday is inscribed on the back of the stone for William Trueblood, her first husband, although her death date was not inscribed. Hetta's parents were Reuben Handy Beauchamp and Elizabeth Kester.
