Served as a soldier at Fort Pitt for 142 days under Captain David Rogers. payroll records credit him with 10:14:6. His residence during the Revolutionary War was Augusta, Virginia. Continental Line.
Another source lists Samuel Paddock (1806‑78) as another son of Ebenezer. He became a wealthy pork packer in Terre Haute, IN.
Colonel Ebenezer Paddock and his brothers, John and William, came to Vigo County from Ohio in 1817 or 1818, and were among the first settlers along the Old Army Road in Prairie Creek Township. " A large family of descendants came of these three brothers. The Colonel was one of the prominent men of the county, and all were noted as men of public spirit and enterprise in developing the resources of the new country," states one source.
The signatures of Ebenezer Paddock Sr. and Jr. were found as witnesses on the will of James Lee, dated March 3, 1819. References in county histories after 1830, and some prior to that date, refer to Ebenezer Jr.
Several of his descendants are members of the DAR.

List of settlers in Fayette and contiguous parts of Greene, Washington and Westmoreland Co. Pa. from rolls of Bedford Co. Pa. for 1773: Tyrone Twp. of Fayette Co. Jonathan Paddox and Ebenezer Paddox (freeman) also listed in Springhill Twp. (all of Greene and Washington Co.) were a Nathaniel Case and William Case.
He married Keziah Case about 1774 in Washeo Pa. In 1790 bought land in Nelson Co. KY, then with family moved to Butler Co. OH. Even though he was in his 70's, the family persuaded him to move to Vigo Co. IN. A land entry was recorded in 9‑12‑1816, in Sec. 4 and Sec. 9, Twp 10, R. 10. They apparently moved in 1818.
